Terms of Service

Effective date: May 28, 2026 · Contact: contact@checkmedicalbill.com

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Check Medical Bill at checkmedicalbill.com and related tools (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Check Medical Bill provides automated, educational analysis of medical bills and insurance documents you upload. The Service highlights possible billing issues and suggests general next steps. It is not legal, medical, insurance, or financial advice. We do not guarantee accuracy, savings, or dispute outcomes.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and able to form a binding contract. You represent that you have the right to upload any documents you submit (for example, your own bills or those of someone you are authorized to assist).

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at contact@checkmedicalbill.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for unlawful purposes or to violate others’ rights
  • Upload malware, spam, or content you do not have permission to share
  • Attempt to probe, scan, or compromise our systems
  • Scrape, reverse engineer, or resell the Service without written permission
  • Misrepresent automated results as professional legal or medical opinions

5. Uploaded content

You retain ownership of documents you upload. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that content solely to provide the Service to you. You are responsible for redacting third-party information you do not wish to store if not needed for your review.

6. No professional relationship

Using the Service does not create an attorney-client, doctor-patient, insurer-insured, or fiduciary relationship with Check Medical Bill or its operators. For billing disputes, appeals, or legal action, consult qualified professionals in your state.

7. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT ANALYSIS WILL BE ERROR-FREE, COMPLETE, OR THAT IT WILL IDENTIFY ALL BILLING PROBLEMS.

Estimated dollar impacts and confidence scores are algorithmic approximations for educational planning only. Always verify amounts with your provider and insurance company before paying, disputing, or relying on results.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CHECK MEDICAL BILL AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) USD $100 OR (B) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (IF ANY).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Check Medical Bill and its operators from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service, your uploaded content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms or pose a security risk. Provisions that by nature should survive (disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity) will survive termination.

11. Changes

We may modify the Service or these Terms. We will post updated Terms with a new effective date. Material changes may be communicated by email or notice on the site where practicable. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your state of residence apply.

13. Dispute resolution

Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at contact@checkmedicalbill.com and allow 30 days to resolve the dispute informally. Except where prohibited, disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

14. Miscellaneous

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement regarding the Service. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.

Check Medical Bill

Check Medical Bill is a patient-facing web service that reviews your provider bill and insurance Explanation of Benefits (EOB). It flags possible duplicate charges, denial language, and out-of-network indicators, then explains findings in plain English with suggested next steps. Educational tool only—not legal, medical, or insurance advice. We help you spot possible billing issues and prepare questions—not replace professional advocates, lawyers, or insurers.

New to hospital bills? Watch our free YouTube guides on reading your EOB, spotting duplicate charges, and checking your bill before you pay.
